Parent Chat Room is a time for parents to come together to chat about any school topics to make JMB the best it can be. This is a time for parents to give input, suggestions, comments, concerns, praise, etc. Any parent is welcome to attend any of the parent chat meetings. During the meetings, administration will also share information on Title 1, school and district initiatives, and praise reports. They are held the first Thursday of each month at 8:30.  Our next Parent Chat is October 10 and you are invited!  Mrs. Roberton will also host a Facebook Live Chat later at 7pm.

SC Read Your Way to the Big Game

Once again JMB will be participating in the SC Read Your Way to the Big Game Contest. Here are the details:

● Students from Prek-5 can participate.

● Students have to read 6 reading level appropriate books--for the younger ones that means a parent is reading.

● Students have to complete the reading log--get parents to sign and return it by October 28.  Contest will run 9/24-10/28—reading logs have already been sent home—we do have extras if a student needs one.

● Each student who enters will be in a drawing for the Clemson vs South Carolina game on November 30--they will choose one Clemson winner and one for USC.

Why do I have to read each day?

As educators we often hear this question.  The answer is simple.  The more you read the more you know.  The picture on the left gives a brief explanation of how beneficial reading everyday can be.  So choose a book and join us!
