Sock Drive for Seniors!

Warm Their Soles

Our GEMS Club students are collecting NEW, warm socks to donate to the residents of Lakeview Assisted Living in Walhalla.  All NEW, warm socks can be sent to your child's teacher.  Our 5th grade GEMS Club students will deliver the socks on December 13.  Thank you for supporting this project!

Family Fun Night

Family Fun Night
Everyone is invited to join us for our
Family Fun Night as we host our 2nd Annual Celebration of Lights on Tuesday, December 4 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  In our classrooms you will create wonderful crafts that focus on various reading strategies.  We will also have a basket raffle.  All proceeds from basket raffle will go to purchasing yearbooks for our students.  We will once again take family photos with the Grinch and a few other Whoville characters.  There will be face painting too!  We will end the evening out front for the lighting of our JMB                                                               Christmas Tree!

Book Drive

The Walhalla High School SIC is sponsoring a
BOOK DRIVE in support of the Latino Outreach and Wellness Fair!  They are accepting books for all ages in Spanish and English!  The BOOK DRIVE will end February 8, 2019.  The Latino Outreach and Wellness Fair is February 9, 2019 from 12:00 until 4:00PM at the field by the Walhalla Civic Center.
                                                  If you have books you would like to donate you may send those to our JMB Media Center.  We have a donation                                                      box ready and waiting!

Christmas Concert

Please join us as we watch our wonderful JMB students perform their Holiday Concert.  Please make note of the dates and times.
1st Grade--Performance is Tuesday, December, 18 at 9:30am
2nd Grade--Performance is Tuesday, December 18 at 1:30pm
3rd Grade--Performance is Wednesday, December 19 at 9:30pm

                                                                                 Students should wear red shirts and Christmas hats.

Parent Chat Room--We need you!

Let's Chat
Parent Chat Room is a time for parents to come together to chat about any school topics to make JMB the best it can be. This is a time for parents to give input, suggestions, comments, concerns, praise, etc. Any parent is welcome to attend any of the parent chat meetings. During the meetings, administration will also share information on Title 1, school and district initiatives, and praise reports. They are held the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 and a repeat session at 3:00. 
Please consider joining us for our next meeting on December 13, 2018 at either 8:30am or 3:00pm.  We look forward to meeting with you!

Heath's Haven
Heath's Haven, a program of the United Way of Oconee County, is offering a series of Family Life Skills Classes.  These wonderful sessions will run from January 2018-December 2018.  The cost for the six-week cycle is $80/person--all fees must be paid in full.  More information is listed below.
